Coffeemaker Question: Does anyone have the Cuisinart Grind and Brew? My second Melita

HA! So true. If it has to be Starbucks I pay extra for a latte so I can stand it. They've got me.

 
Thanks, Glennis. I just ordered the Cuisinart 12-cup from Amazon. It got great reviews

and I liked the idea of a built-in water filter. It does sound husband-friendly indeed!

I also ordered one of those gold permanent baskets. I'll make do with the small grinder I have and see how it goes.

Uh oh, I guess I'll have a spare then. It was only 8 bucks, and our water is fairly hard.

 
The 'burn' is part of the quality control... same here, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, sugar... everything

 
I have a thermal pot, too and found that a bit of dishwasher detergent in hot water cleans the

inside well. just let it soak for awhile. The top is too small for me to get my hand in it and scrub.

 
For sure, no one has a hand THAT small. Yep. Gonna do that. Thank you. I don't think the flavour

will suffer from this brown, but it's just not pretty.
