"Cook the Book" challenge: I've got my virgin copy right here...will try anything that

In my mind, this is the framework I think of for doing this online. Cook as many

dishes as you like over the course of the month, come back and report on what you learned, what you liked/changes you'd make in the future, and whether you'd make it again. There's no rating system but I don't think that's necessary. Whether you'd make it again is sufficient enough, no?

In the link, click on Starters/Small bites to get an idea how others have done it. In my mind I think they go a little too far into how it's made (in lieu of sharing the recipe) but that's just my 2 cents.

fun!

Thanks for the tip about the Gourmet Book index being on Amazon. After a lot of scrolling, I finally got there and rooted around the index's chicken recipes. The ones that looked maybe not super-interesting or challenging but were at least appealing were indeed on the Epicurious website....chicken divan, chicken parmesan, chicken piccata with nicoise olives, poulet a la fermiere, chicken in pumpkin seed sauce (pollo en pipian verde), and chicken tetrazzini. I'll gladly try some or all of those in September.
Great idea!
cheers, Bonnie

Grrrr...I had just spent 30 minutes typing up a review of the recipes I've made...

and something hiccupped and I landed back on the start page, losing everything I had just typed. Will have to try another time, tired and going to bed.

I can't wait to see that list when you're ready to give it another try! Esp. the ones you

really enjoyed. smileys/smile.gif
