Cyn, Dianne, Maria... and all of you out there having a difficult time this Christmas....

I hold you all in my prayers and want all of you on the board to know how much this little community has meant to me over the years. I feel like we are all a family and it shows every time someone is in need - be it an "I need help NOW" recipe disaster, the loss of a pet, or the loss of a human loved one. Everyone rallies, everyone cares, and it shows. Thank you, thank you, thank you Mimi for giving us this forum and being not only a moderator, but a viable part of this family.

Ok, so I'm getting sappy at this time of the year smileys/smile.gif but you all really do mean a lot to me and regardless of your religion or beliefs, I'd like to ask God's blessing on you all, and the happiest New Year.

I second that statement. I have been coming here most every night to check for years--

Since Gails. I have laughed and cried with you and prayed when there was a need. This is a great community and people who have never met love and care, and help each other. Thank you all for being the loving community that you are. I know I can come for kitchen help whenever I am in need. I also think that if I needed encouragement I could get it here as well. I have also observed that this is a family that works things out. You all work well together
Thank you Mimi for keeping up what the Gails used to be. You have done a wonderful job.
Merry Christmas to all of you and a Blessed New year. Hugs to all

God's love shines though you, my dear! smileys/smile.gif

Wishing you a wonderful Christmas!

I have been on the receiving end of the caring and kindness you speak of...

...and very recently at that.

The friends I have here have gotten me through a difficult time in Missouri last week, and have always been so supportive in every way.

I thank God for all of you, and as we celebrate the birth of His Son, my family will be ever thankful for the wonderful friends He has surrounded us with.

Peace to you all,

Michael

I'd like to wish our "family" a wonderful holiday and many thanks

to all for your caring ways and support for each other. It's been a pleasure getting to know you. It's always a treat to login and see how you are all doing and what's cooking.

Prayers to everyone with sadness this season.
God bless all of you.

I'm overwhelmed, but not surprised, by the outpouring of love and support I've received from my

friends on this board. You've never failed to help me through a crisis. You've shared both joys and sorrows with me and I will be ever grateful for each and every one of you.

And it doesn't hurt that I can sit here in my nightgown, before I've showered, with no makeup on and you guys don't even care

As we sit back and reflect.....

Over all the years at Gail's and more recently at this wonderful place...I know we all feel blessed to have such a warm and welcoming online family.

A big Thank You to Mimi, once again, for having the insight, ability and desire to provide this wonderful forum!

When people make remarks to me about the dangers of being 'online' and weirdos, etc., I always have to comment that though there is that element, it all depends on where you choose to hang out. Just as in our day to day situations close to home.

Then, I go into telling about the wonderful, kind, giving, genuine friends you can find online, too. People who aren't online haven't a clue. They just hear about the sick-os. (well - maybe sometimes our humor tend DOES to border on being a little sick-o but that's another story! smileys/wink.gif

Though people come and go, the same basic 'home group' seems to hang on. I want you all to know how much you mean to me. There may be a few days, (or even weeks when there is a major issue happening) that I am unable to log in but it's always so good to come home! It's kind of like getting back home after an extended trip, isn't it? It just feels sooo good!

We've lost a few good friends over the years. Cried and laughed together. Prayed together. Supported eachother. Bit our tongues together! (I won't mention her name!) ha

We all know it's not just about cooking. If this place didn't have such a wonderful group of people it wouldn't be the same. We share our lives, not just food!

It's my prayer that all will be filled with warmth and peace this week, whatever your religious persuasion.

God bless!

Gayle

Thank you all so much for the kind thoughts toward those who might be sad this Christmas...

Yesterday was my first Christmas without my dear 94-year-old Mother, who I lost in September. Your thoughts and wishes made my day a little brighter. Thank you for being so thoughtful.

Ditto. It's very comforting to know you all are much more than just members of a board. You've

shown time and time again what good friends you are, regardless of whether we've met in person or not. I truly appreciate all of you. You're the best.
