Does anyone else have neurotic tendancies? And if so, what.

Yep. Towels, washcloths/linens are like yours. Every rotating garment hanger top

MUST face to the right before hanging something... I'm beyond salvation.

Hmm, I think this is the only one I still hang on to: punctuality.

Everything else, I've learned to just let it slide. Heck, I have boxes we haven't unpacked yet (after moving in, three months ago), and when we did move in, I more or less threw all our kitchen stuff haphazardly into the cabinets (so that we could actually eat in our kitchen), so I still have no idea where anything is, and I don't give a darn anymore. smileys/wink.gif)))

Feeling inadequate here...

.... I'd love to play but I am strangely empty.

first, let me say that a few of the things stated here I don't think belong in the "neurotic" category. Liking to be on time, or parking inside the proper space, that's not neurotic, unless you go ballistic if someone is 5 minutes late or empty the tires of a car parked wrong smileys/smile.gif

I tried to find something to add and I've got nothing. Absolutely nothing. Now I wonder if I should worry!

Please someone jump here and tell me I'm not alone in this.... should I go see a shrink?

Ha! This VERY MORNING I wrapped up a coffee mug to re-gift because after using

it one time, I discovered it has a hollow handle which becomes piping hot when you rewarm coffee in the microwave. Cannot stand that--absolutely have to have solid handles that will stay cool after nuking.

Absolutely. If no rubber gloves on site,I won't wash hand dishes. AAMOF, I will pack a pair in my

suitcase to take w/ me this weekend to a SIL's house where there are none. No exceptions to this rule!

Not to worry, you aren't the only one...

I do have certain ways I do things, but for the most part it's habit these days. There might've been a time I was more of a stickler, but now days I have more of a whatever attitude. (Except knives getting dull in the block stored on their edge, but that's a practical thing vs. ocd - I think, lol.) I'm sure there are a few things I'm forgetting that are a bit ocd, but I'm fairly easy now and was never much of one to begin with - like I still do the seam in the back towel fold, but if I had my wish all the bath towel bars would be replaced with hooks.

Ok, wrong fridge doors do bother me.

No, I just ask my fellow family members to please rinse off the plates (and etc.)...

...and stack them in the empty sink. When all the stuff gets in there, then I start dipping the scrubber in the container of water/soap. I wash each dish (and etc.) and place it in the other empty sink. Then, when that sink is full, I rinse under warm running water.

No primordial soup.

You are too busy to have developed useless idiosyncrasies.

However, I do find your fear of grasshoppers odd.

move over girlfriend, I'm coming up empty too. unless, following a car with its lights off

to tell them to turn them on is weird----I have been known to do this. dark nights, dark Alaskan roads, and no headlights/taillights is a ticket to disaster up here. makes me kookoo krazy when I see it. I hear that the police try to pick these people up because 9 times out of 10 they are drunk and don't notice no lights.
