Does anyone have any interesting uses for canned salmon?

eons ago their was a lovely tuna salad recipe on the can of Dole pineapple. one of my lifelong

favorites and it does well with salmon too. combine in a bowl:
torn lettuce, 1 cucumber diced, 1 can pineapple chunks drained, 1 can tuna drained, toss with dressing of about 2-3 T mayo mixed with some pineapple juice and 1 tsp dill. salt and pepper to taste. this is how I remember it---add any salad ingredients you might like in this. carrots and red pepper come to mind.

As I said, I am not a lactating female (one site recommended the bones for them),

nor do I lack calcium in my diet.

I find the idea of biting down on fish backbones, at least of that size, repulsive, frankly.

To each, his own.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I happen to like canned salmon and it is very convenient for last minute dinners when I haven't been to the grocery to get fresh. One of my grandmother's dinners growing up was potato soup, fried salmon cakes made with canned, and hard-boiled eggs.

And it's good for you. I've been using it in place of tuna for salads for years.
