Fluffy quiche?

My DW was at the neighbourhood Bunco and had a fluffy quiche. She would like to know how to make the dish, since the lady who made the fluffy quiche won't give her the recipe or the method of making a quiche. fluffy.smileys/frown.gif

2 ideas--both have wrked 4 me in past--1) I sent in a request to RSVP @ BON APPETIT magazine &

2) another time I handed a waitress ten bucks to get and send me some recipe that a restaurant chef wouldn't give out!

Yea, I don't know where they are going to take the recipe - open their own restaurant or take to

the after life.

One other idea: They may use a powdered cheese so the weight doesn't compact

the custard. You know, rather than a boatload of heavy grated cheese.

I will never understand someone who would not share a recipe? Unless she is in business and that

business is a her secret recipe. What is the point of not giving a friend a recipe?

My 86-year old mom will not share her strudel recipe. For decades she donated

it to church fund raisers, but after my father died, she sold it to two local shops. To be honest, the shops made pure profit and far more than my mom did, since all of the expenses were on her end. I finally gave up trying to make her realize this.

She considers her recipe a legacy for her children. I hope to use it someday in NC , possibly this century if my mortgage ever gets resolved and I have time to live and bake there.
