FOOD TALK on WOR Radio

Charlie-In-The-Box: I am the official sentry of the Isle of Misfit toys.

Hermey: A jack-in-the-box for a sentry?

Charlie-In-The-Box: Yes. My name is...

Rudolph: Don't tell me: Jack.

Charlie-In-The-Box: No, Charlie. That's why I'm a misfit toy. My name is all wrong. No child wants to play with a Charlie-In-The-Box so I had to come here.

King Moonraiser: A toy is never truly happy until it is loved by a child.

King Moonraiser: Come closer. What do you desire?
Rudolph: Well, we're a couple of misfits from Christmastown, and we'd like to live here.

King Moonraiser: No. That would not be possible. This island is for toys alone.

Yukon Cornelius: How do you like that? Even among misfits you're a misfit.

Marg, I think we're being mocked. Hugh Grant as a randy, single Prime Minister is one thing....

but Haley Mills joining Roz's scalingly brilliant convent?

Scott, that's just twisted.

We just watched Christmas Vacation...and it was hilarious. After

spending the evening with my son-in-law, who has issues, it was a pleasant respite. I swear, why do the holidays bring out the craziness in people, or is it just my family??? Aacckkkkkkkkk!

It's not just your family! Sometimes

after spending time with my sister and BIL, I wonder where my real family is ;o) Stress brings out the worst of people, and they just can't handle it.

But luckily they weren't the focus of my celebration this year.

Hey, didn't you just love the scene at Heathrow, when the prime minister gets off the public

aircraft, at the public airport, but only after some strange assortment of characters arrive miraculously from all corners of the earth at once...and his girlfriend runs up to him, unfettered, and throws her legs around him.

Now this is real life.

Still like it though.

The music that plays in France, I think it's when Colin Firth is arriving at the Marseille airport (lots of oboes) is the same as I hear on the promos for a new movie, Benjamin something. I wonder what that piece is. At least it's a break for my head's total fixation on Mama Mia music.

I couldn't let it go....."Total Agony Theme"...I just love google.
