DW reminded me that her sister is also famous for trying a recipe for the first time and...
...doing her typical ingredient shuffle, and then taking the dish to her husband's family for a get-together.
She then spends the evening wondering why no one eats her food. Then she tries it herself when she gets home and realizes just what kind of punishment she's inflicted on her relatives.
Again, we love her, but she's got some reality issues when it comes to food preparation that involve thinking it's ok to sub an equal amount of whole wheat flour for the pastry flour called for in the recipe. (Leave out the baking powder and sub rosemary for the cinnamon. Corn oil left over from the fish fry instead of butter; wheat germ instead of baking soda; prunes instead of chocolate chips. Woo Hoo!)
