really good places. why don't you ask. Tell me your range. We don't go for the biggies except for a splurge. We don't go for Margcdn's places except for a splurge, which is why we knew about Le Jules Verne. More local, neighborhood.

Restaurant Supply Store in Paris
When we are in Paris (which will be in 3 weeks-YEA!!!) we go to G Detou (58, rue Tiquetonne 2nd Arr) which is a restaurant supply store. I get wonderful dried mushrooms of all varieties very reasonably priced, Cocoa Barry pistoles which are my favorite chocolate for candies and almond paste.

I just now saw this post, Gretchen. Thanks for the offer. We have our "neighborhood" faves too,
though so many of them are being replaced by Pizza places. I still have the list you posted last summer, when I was taking my family to Paris. Next trip, I'll be sure to check with you for any new recommendations.
