Grand Canyon Cooking: The Sequel. My youngest is now in the 7th grade, and he...

Yeah, my boys are two years apart. They rearranged the trip calendar for this...

...outing. It is happening in early October instead of the usual time in April of 2010.

The last trip was April of 2008.

Time flies!

Ohh Michael, I hate to bring this up

Do you think it is wise to expose all those kids and assisting adults to the H1N1? Since you have been exposed, there is a good chance you may be incubating the bug. What do you think?

I have been in 'discussion' on this very issue with a large assortment of ...

...people in authority.

Headmaster, Division Head, Teacher in Charge, School Nurse, my Doctor, etc., etc.

The clear consensus is that exposure doesn't equal contagion. If I feel good going into the trip, I will forge ahead -with the approval of all in control of the trip.

I asked that same question at the end of last week, when it became clear the family was going down hard. The option of cancelling the whole trip is still on the table, and will be made in the best interest of the kids, closer to departure.

I am feeling good that all points have been, and will be, considered.

Have a wonderful time, I envy you!! When my daughter was

young I was her Girl Scout Leader and took her troup on many, many wilderness adventures! Hard work to be sure, but oh my the fun memories. The girls are all grown now, starting their own families, and when they see me, they immediately start talking about how their times out in the woods with our troup were some of their fondest childhood memories. Makes the work all worthwhile.
Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy!

What a great Dad you are. Praying for continued health and successful trip.

Also praying for speedy recovery of your family.
