Gratitude

Yes, absolutely. That always happens too. What is worse, my vet

who used to be open every Saturday until noon has decided it is time to cut back on working and is now only open one Saturday a month. I'm always so glad they are there, but those emergency vet clinics sure are expensive.

Did you know that is where the term "Three Dog Night" comes from. It is so cold

that you need three dogs in bed with you to stay warm. Sadly, I'm down to one, though he is fairly sizeable and a pretty good snuggling buddy.

Maybe where YOU ARE in California! *LOL*

There's barely 6 degrees between high and low here in the northern Central Valley where FOG is king. We haven't seen the sun here (more than bare minutes) in about 2 weeks. I'm Vitamin D deprived!!

My ) "why" was in response to why do things break at 11 pm. ;0)

Our first house after we moved to Fl had one of those gas fireplaces. I thought it was the most ridiculous thing I had ever seen, especially since we had just moved from Seattle. I turned it into a wine holder. It's 4:30 in the afternoon in the Ft. Lauderdale area and it's 35 degrees. People....Really! My orchids are in the garage and really not happy about this. John says every time he goes out there they are whining at him. I feel really bad for all those people that saved money for a wonderful vacation on the beautiful Ft. Lauderdale beach in the sun....

I know how lucky I am, drafty house and all. I spent the day at the community garden planting fruit

trees. It got up to 70* We had lunch to go from a family Mexican spot down the street. Three of us ate huge mounds of authentic food for under $20. I had pork chile verde AND goat birria. We ate outside.

I don't mean to gloat, just to explain why we put up with smog, traffic and ridiculous real estate prices for dinky drafty houses.
