New Year in a bit before most of you....Have a wnderful day everyone.

Haven't been lurking much either, I'll have loads to catch up on.

We have quite a lot of braais here in this (cold ) summer weather...it has been very chilly even for the locals....

some of the braais have been,

Chicken (but with Indonesian flavours as a niece is married to one)

Boreworse (African farmers sausage)

Pork sausages...these are big, fat and delicious, my fav sausage of all time.

Lamb in many disguises including a

Potjie of lamb shanks...soooo good.

Fish, yellowtail from these waters has been my fav. so far

Today there is Ostrich steaks, borewors and chicken.

Salads with avocados (loads available as it is the season)

and Wine, lots of the best South African wines.

Oysters, calamarie, and crayfish as well, all caught and bought fresh.

Fruit sold at the traffic lights (robots) are oranges, nectrines, grapes by the local lads make it easy to shop by just going for a drive...dont even have to get out the car....

Truly this is a bountiful, beautiful country.

If all goes as planned I'll be in Zambia in a couple days.

Have a great, safe and fun filled day every one.
