Has anyone ever tried those "green bags" - the ones that are supposed to

CSA's are great - "community supported agriculture", it's getting more popular with farmers and

ranchers to offer boxes of their products to consumers who ordinarily wouldn't have access to such fresh produce or meats using a CSA. My produce box provider, Planet Organics and also Bay Area Organics Express have great services here in SF, plus Farm Fresh to You. I haven't seen many for meat though and this is exciting!

Sorry you are unemployed too. I'm starting to get really stir crazy and I'm approaching 9 months of looking for work with no success. There a lots of entry level jobs that I apply for but don't get calls back because I'm too qualified. Trying not to let it get me down!!! Trying!!!! smileys/smile.gif

How desparate are you? I have two city council members begging my non-profit to start a CSA

on a specific piece of land under Edison wires here in Long Beach. That's two for and 0 against, so far. They don't seem to understand how many people working for free that entails. We're looking into grant opportunities in 2010. This is a hot topic right now and everyone wants everyone else to open one. I'm chomping at the bit, given the opportunity. Wish us luck!
