LOL, here I am! I left town

the next day and just got back. No computers, phones, work or email, just blessed solace and the winter landscape.

TRIP REPORT ; )

I went to Columbus to hear the Ohio State Symphony (Program: Brahms "Alto Rhapsody," Tschaikowsky "Symphony Nr. 5"). I hadn't heard them since I played my last concert with them in May of 1979. They still have the same maestro conducting them after all these years and I wanted to hear him conduct one more time before he's gone. The concert was fantastic. OSU has a great orchestra. After that, I visited with my old college roommate who lives in a comfy house that abuts a woods. I slept, I practiced my cello, I read cookbooks, I sipped tea, I wore sweats and padded around in my sock feet all day, I took naps, I found some pink depression glass plates at Goodwill for $.50/piece(!!!), I threw peanuts out onto the deck for the squirrels. The squirrels came and looked in the window when I played my cello (they were probably responding to the noise and thinking, "our humans are there, maybe we can have more peanuts!"
