Has anyone heard of bees wax bags for keeping bread fresh?

I know of beeswax wraps, I’ve seen them at Trader Joe’s, but I haven’t heard of it in context with Bread.

The thing I know about Bread, especially sourdough is to always store it with the cut side down, so the cut surface is not exposed to the air. if I want the bread crust to stay crisp, I wrap it in a tea towel, if I want it to stay fresh longer, I put it in a Ziploc or freeze it.
