! Help with food for Bridezilla...

Oh, gosh, guys! Thanks! Yes, everyone was double joyful because.....

we knew we could have been planning a funeral instead of celebrating a wedding that day! Scary.

Thank you, Joe, for your sweet comment. I sure don't feel it. (Don't worry, I won't SMOOCH ya! hehe

After reading the rest of the posts, I can see the reasoning behind this...

folks do run faster and more than they did in my hay day, and forget to eat. I think we were a bit more frugal back in the early 60's too, at least in my little town. When our youngest son got married he had plates of food brought in for his groomsmen to his house, where they all got dressed. He invited his dad and I to participate in the frivolity. I wondered about the food then too, but noticed that some of the guys had already had a nip or two and remember thinking the food was a good idea. The wedding went off slick. Thanks for bringing me up to date!

I met with her this w/e and found out a few more details...

Her big worry is folks drinking w/o anything in their stomachs as they are all meeting up at the hotel to get dressed etc at 2:30 and dinner won't be till 8pm. So, I will sneak some items in to plate up. I likely will use this traveling food carrier (I love this thing so thought I'd give you the link -- it can hold 2 9x13 or slightly bigger pans stacked. The nice thing is one can be hot and the other cold. Plus it has a full side pocket for serving utensils, etc.)

Also, turns out they need help with the shower this weekend so I will bring some food for that as well as go over and stage the room. I'm going to use an old family 1950's tulle wedding dress, put it on a wicker half dress form and use it to stage/drape the gift table -- should be pretty. (I've been wanting to do something with that darn dress for years!)
