Hi everyone! The changeover will occur shortly, or you can just go to Eat.at to see the new site...

But you don't really read the first (oldest) messages anyway, do you? Whenever I come to

the site, I'll just "page down" to see if there are new messages near the top, or, if I'm in a hurry, jump to the end.

Honestly, already I couldn't tell you what was at the top of the old site!

It is large, but fine with me! I think we're just used to the "no heading" we've

had lately. White space below could go, but I'm sure you had your reasons for putting it in there. Oh, I see now that it's just because my computer takes so long to load!

Beautious job, Mimi!! Thank You!!

Same here, the header and top of the site takes up more than 3/4 of my screen. Only the subject line

of the post is viewable to me at the very bottom of my screen so I must scroll to read the post. I have a 22 inch screen so I'm not sure what adjustments need to be made to view this forum. All other forums and websites are fine for me. halp! lol

I like the header--very festive. I usually hit the "End" button or scroll to the bottom anyway,

Just a thought: if the heading was smaller, ppl would see the ads at first click & get more revenue

to the site. That'd be a good thing.

I know you're still working out the kinks, but thought you might want to know (if you don't already) that when you we do a "find on page" search for a word, we get an error message: "An error has occured in this dialog. Error: 117, unspecified error."

I thought so too, but I actually still logged in... it just says "Log in" at the top which confused

me at first too )

...especially if people skip the top messages and scroll/page-down to the bottom when they get here

I never do that, myself - too much I might miss along the way!

What browser are you using for your "find on page"? I can't reproduce this in FF or IE.

The fact that people do, indeed, scroll to the bottom was basically my thinking on this...

...that, and it looked cool and I was having fun! LOL

I'll wait and see who else chimes in on this. I can probably find a happy medium somewhere.
