Hooray, it's football season! What are your fav recipes for game day munchies?

A simple favorite is Ham & Prosciutto Wraps. Recipe inside>>>

EDIT!!!! (Mimi what to do when you just go in a brain lock and can't edit. Oh well...)
That should read Ham & Asparagus Wraps. Duh

Well, not really a recipe...just a method.

Asparagus spears
Cream Cheese
Blue cheese
(or Boursin Cheese)
Honey roasted deli ham, Prosciutto or whatever thin deli sliced meat you like.

Blanch asparagus until just tender and cool.
I mix cream cheese and blue cheese together until I like the flavor or just use Boursin Cheese.
Spread an even layer of the deli ham as long as the spear of asparagus and spread with the cheese mixture. Lay the spear along one edge and roll up tightly and wrap in plastic wrap. I chill for several hours and then cup into bite size slices, usually one end on the diagonal and the other end flat and place on the platter on the flat end.

Geez, Marianne, I don't use a recipe. It's been in the family for so long, but...

Blanch the cabbage 'til leaves are flexible.
Cook rice and let chill.
Fry ground beef in chunks of salt pork (this gives a lot of flavor to the beef), some garlic, black pepper and onion. Drain fat and let cool. Remove salt pork. Mix rice with beef. Spoon into cabbage leaves and fold, then layer the golumki in a casserole, folded side down and pile on top of each other. Pour a can of good crushed tomatoes over. Throw some more chunks of salt pork on top. Cover, bake at 350 for an hour or so. Eat.

We never use an egg to bind it together, prefer it looser, though many people do. Very simple and you really can't mess it up.

Hi Mery - I made the tomatoes on Saturday and YUM! Esp. with the heirloom dry farmed tomatoes from

the farmers market on Saturday, they still felt warm from the sun, or maybe because it was a sunny day. anyway, the blue cheese and buttered crumbs were the best accent to the sweet tomato! will make these again too!

Thanks so much...
