Thankfully, the kind people at Good Housekeeping July/Aug 2022 published the data:
A 9" pie plate (not deep dish) requires 1 3/4 Cups of crumbs (pulse cookies first, then pulse again with melted butter)
Here's how that breaks down:
Chips Ahoy = 22 cookies + 3 TBL melted butter
Nutter Butter = 18 cookies + 4 TBL melted butter
Chocolate wafers (round, not rectangular) =34 cookies + 6 TBL melted butter
Graham crackers = 14 cookies + 6 TBL melted butter (their photo shows a 2 piece cookie slab...not the four piece version)
Nilla wafers = 60 cookies + 6 TBL butter.
Press moistened crumbs into pie shell and chill for a minimum of 20 minutes to reharden the butter.
