How Marilyn Stole the Grinch for Christmas

Ang, if you look at the second photo at the final grouping of house pictures

there is a small red/white christmas tree sitting on a green box. It's the back of the house. That is the battery pack for the lights and takes four (4) AA batteries. I couldn't cover it up because I knew I would need to switch out batteries before the 4 week display was up. I did consider making a teeny-tiny tree skirt, but thought the folks manning the lunch table might not know where to look for the on-off switch.

I was concerned about how long they would actually last, (7 feet long, 18 LED lights...bought at Target, $7) & came up with ~20 hours. The LED company won't give any time frames.

I guess I should have been more concerned that there was actually a house for them to be run out of batteries on.

Ahhhh, I see! I thought maybe up in the sleigh. I bought some of those battery run lights for

some wreaths and a garland this year. tired of all the electric cords. but hiding those controls can be a challenge.
