How to cut a pomegranite video.

thanks just tried this

I planted several pomegranate trees 7 years ago. I've gotten a few fruit the past two years but this year one of the trees has had maybe 70-100. I've got about 30 on it right now. Mine wasn't so perfectly segmentable as in the video but definitely an improvement on how I and my kids have been cutting them.

The chefs have taught us how to supreme a grapefruit and an orange...

why was this kept a secret for so long?

looks like the original video on FB was removed but I believe this is the same concept:

I'm sure everyone knows you can cut it in half and turn it over a bowl and hit it with a wooden spoon or meat mallet and the arils will fall out.

I've done the "whack a hemisphere" and while it's great for getting rid of tension, cutting along the fruit's natural segments actually allows you to remove almost every aril.

I still don't like hitting a seed though, as much as I like the taste of the juice.
