You are an animal lover like me. Thanks! I almost posted t his the other day,
but hub is trying to shoot the woodpecker that is making really big holes in our house. They are really big. So he decided that he was going to try to shoot the woodpecker with his pellet gun. As soon as I hear him stir to get his gun, I run out on the back deck and scare the woodpecker away. Hub is soooooooooooo frustrated, but the woodpecker is alive and not pecking on our house. There are really big holes from them, and they are so high that we can't get to them.
A side note, my husband was getting really pissed at the raccoon that kept tipping over our dry dog food trash can that we had on the deck. It is a really old one that doesn't latch very well.
I told my hub that he should get a new one, but he declined. After a conference at my son's school and we were leaving, my hub watched and laughed while I tried to open my white mini van, and was unable. Then i looked over and saw him laughing while he stood in front of our van, laughing while i was trying to unlock the wrong van. So the next day, i started tipping over the dog food can, and he began the war. One night he used bungie cords, which i removed, tipped over the can, and draped the cords carefully over firewood container. The next night, same thing, tipped the can over and removed the gigantic black rubber band and placed it carefully over the wood fireplace holder. Every morning, he would go out there and look at the dog food, and I would hear him curse and talk to himself. Our whole family was in on it. We could barely keep straight faces when we would see each other. Finally, he gave up. So i had to tell him what I had been doing. He was kind of mad at first and then laughed and laughed. I am very nervous, to say the least, but it was definitely worth it.
