I had a great day!! Ask me! Just ask me! Ok, I'll tell you.... I met up with

Oh My! So sorry Mo. You could have used a fun day. I wish I could say something that would

make you smile.... But, sadly, can't. ((Hugs)) Take deep breaths, and figure out how to reinvent yourself.
So sorry....

Oh no! So sorry to hear this.

There is no loyalty anymore. Years of service (and the tribal knowledge gleaned from that, which is invaluable) seem to be increasingly rewarded with an invitation to pick up your things and clear out. And the chances that next month they'll hire a bright-eyed replacement for your job fresh out of college at a third of the price? Fairly high. I see it every day.

So sorry we missed you on this trip. We had a wonderful time as usual.

OK, it is working now...L to R...

This was 1 week ago today! Time flies. Tempus fugit and all.

Mo, it may not sound like it now, but NOT having all that daily stress will have

to be healthier for you.

I'm sending positive thoughts your way! Let me know if a jar of chocolate sauce will help. Think of it as an anti-oxidant for the soul.

You're absolutely correct Richard. My "old" postion which was "eliminated"

is now posted at a lower grade level and "re-titled," so it's not "my" job.
Biggest corporate scam going.
A small, petty source of satisfaction is that the agency I worked with said that the VP called them and said "now that we've blown this thing up can you help us fix it?" Also told me they were combing my emails to see who I dealt with within the company. Talk about lame.
VP, 40, is new to the role, had no idea what I did on a daily basis, just saw the $$ salary. Sigh.
Onward!

Glad you had a nice visit. Couldn't have asked for better weather. smileys/smile.gif

So sweet of you, thanks Barb! I am taking online courses to get my skills up

and applying away like crazy. It's really a full time job looking for a job!
Sad to say that humans don't read resumes anymore, so it takes me 45 mins to an hour to apply for a position. I tweak each cover letter and resume to "game" the ATS system that reads resumes. UGH!

I hope so! I'm a stress eater, and weigh more now than I have in the past 10 years,

so you're correct in that less stress will be healthier for me! Seeing the handwriting on the wall and trying to change it was really tough.Trying to get on a schedule where I'm not combing jobsites for 6 hours at a time and get into an exercise routine.
So your offer of chocolate sauce is very kind and much appreciated, but I may have to decline! I've actually never made it.
