I have very mixed feelings about this market.

While I was waiting in the car shop ( waiting for a repair, I read an article

just this afternoon on how to make your own "Orange Julius" - it seemed very simple and used concentrated oj, milk, vanilla flavoring, and sugar. I think it was in a "Taste of Home" magazine (my subscription just lapsed, so I missed that one!). Strawberry Julius, Blueberry Julius, Pineapple Julius, etc.

All kinds of possibilities here - kinda makes me want to start up a stand myself! One of those large vertical toasters, some flavored butters, cream cheese, jelly, $1 fruit kabobs, and some pitchers full of juice smoothies and you're in business! Sell jars of jam and jelly on the side.

How strange is that - an Orange Julius banner ad just appeared at the top of this site!

20-oz bottle, $2.99!

Hi Dawn smileys/smile.gif I was the new kid on the block, so when my lineups drew the attention of senior vendors

there were lots of scowling going on. I never anticipated being so successful at it, or how much money I could bring in during one Market. I found the lineups almost embarassing, but I've come to get used to them.

Just do your thing - you're not going to gloat. Just be extra nice to the other vendors smileys/smile.gif

indeed. why should you apologize or be embarrassed by putting out great products.

there would be no lines and no purchases if the products weren't worthy of it. go for it!

My product line has evolved into fresh-baked (like get up at 2am, 700 fresh baked) scones>>

granola, 3 types of hummus, 3 types of bars, euro-style flatbread pizzas, soups, condiments (mustards, a mango coconut hot sauce, dry rubs). it's funny how things take their own path - I started off doing sushi, curries/soups & mustards - i've also done whole-meal type salads. I've tapered down my product line not only for streamlining, but to have products that won't be tossed out if they don't sell. (i sell the pizzas frozen, to be reheated).

Nope (is 43 still young? ) just crazy, I think! It's my adoring customers that motivate me smileys/smile.gif
