Gail's started in late "95

and by fall of '96 some of us were gathering in Phoenix. That wasn't the first Epi get-together, but it was the one more folks remember.

Sandra/NYC/London/Oz/NYC was one of the first...Richard/Cincy was the chat instigator.

I started lurking some time in the spring of 1996, I think. I remember that for my birthday in 1995, my husband asked what I wanted, and I said an Internet connection. Nooo, he replied, there's this guy at work who says the Internet is boring.

I'm glad I persisted. Many happy returns, everyone!

According to this, it was October 12, 1995 when Gail made that first post. I didn't have internet

access until 1997. My husband dragged me kicking and screaming into it. And recipes are what got me interested.

Wow!

I got on in early 96 when I was working in Los Angeles. Moved to Northern California shortly thereafter and had a baby in 99. She's 11 and a half now (going on, like, 35). I MISS Gail's!! Everyone seems to have scattered all over the place. It was such a great community.
