Here is my sister's oven method for cooking corn on the cob==>

You can also mound several ears on a cookie sheet...doesn't matter how deep they are. 350 for 20 minutes....comes out perfectly as well. Easiest way to get that silk off....soooooooooo easy. The sweet corn actually tastes sweeter too. Same with microwave? Hadn't heard about the microwave. Connie

 
I tried this last night and it works. We have 1100 W and I did two for 7 minutes.

I was a little concerned it might not work because I had already nipped off the majority of leaves/silk from the top. The top of the kernel was just barely exposed, yet it still steamed.
