There are many recipes and tips for this mixture on the internet. Some say use equal parts

some say 1 part to 2 parts. I think it takes one or two tries to see what is going to work for you. My housekeeper only uses white vinegar at our house. I use Dawn by itself on my cooktop. It also is great on my t-shirt type tops when I get grease spots from cooking. I rub a tiny bit on the spot, let it sit about 5 minutes then throw into the wash.

 
Thanks. I use Dawn on grease stained clothing as well, typically with success.

I mixed up some Dawn and white vinegar, many websites mentioned one to one ratio. It ended up quite sudsy when I went to rinse it off, so I am going to fiddle with the ratio to see if I can get it more to my liking.

 
I like to dilute it 3-1 (water-Dawn) and use it for a spray spotter, especially on oil stains.(nt)
