I need cookie/baking help please. I made this cookie recipe today

It makes me sad to hear "I don't bake" + struggling with a crappy recipe. It's the recipe, not you.

This is a perfect example of why I don't use recipes from blogs. Eventually you figure out who has solid recipes, but for the most part...meh! A good photo does not make for a solid recipe. I'd rather use tested recipes from a magazine, cookbook, or the folks on this site.

Ahhh Traca, that's sweet of you. {{sniff}} I'll learn from this? And they

are so damned cute! I'm going to see if I can make them work.

Yeah, I know. I didn't realize there was one inside until I got ready

to make them and I thought about leaving it out. But I thought maybe it would change the shape of them sooooo being me, I did as I was told. I'm only making them because it's pumkin month and fitting for the setting. I sure hope my choice for Nov. and Dec. go better.

I'd try one without the inside pumpkin. Roll into a ball and bake. Pull out and smoosh in the accent

pumpkin, like the famous Hershey's Kiss and Peanut butter cookies.

It would also save a bunch of time and effort, because it looked like some end up bursting out and you won't want to use those.

Or, since it melts anyway, just cut a slice of pumpkin and mold around that.

Agreed. I'd skip the white chocolate chips too. They also contribute to the super sweetness

and irregular shape. A single pumpkin would be terrific.
