I need rice recipes! Somehow, I have managed to accumulate 6 pounds of long-grain white rice...

Hooo! Boy! does this sound ever so good....On my deff to try list.....

I have these "to try", "to deffinately try", "to stop being lazy,days are running by, to try" lists etc....just not enough meals or time to cook and try everything, I get this panicky feeling sometimes.

 
Lol...I'm still chuckling! So many recipes so little time ;o) Do you think the rice "crust" will...

hold together as per the recipe or do you think it might need a binder? I have this uneasy feeling that it will collapse once it is inverted onto the serving plate. It would be nice if it held together until it made it to the table...

 
Perhaps, I have another rice dish, as yet untried,........

it sounds a bit messy (but delicious) using chorizo, tomatoes, pork, chicken, chickpeas along with chicken stock and seasonings and rice...BUT this is cooked in a large flat pan with beaten eggs added and then set in the oven. It is not turned out. The recipe title is "Crusted Rice"

Soooo, I really don't know how the inverting would work....I'll try it soon (I hope)
