I recently bought a bag of Fusilli Funghi which I have never seen or heard

For those that have never seen it, may I ask why?

It was, such a huge part of the 90's and almost anyone on the planet can name some part of an episode...

I saw it in Greece, dubbed, and in many other countries - it's such a global phenomenon, unless, of course, you're in Dubai or lost at sea!

Weren't you ever even just a little curious to see what it was all about?

Yeh, yeh, yeh. that was The Secret Code, wasn't it. That episode was pretty much about George as I

recall. Funny one.

Sandra, here's my answer (for what's its worth)

For many years, I didn't even own a television as I prefer to read, go to movies or do crafts.

Then I got married. My husband bought a VCR when they first came out and started taping everything so he would NEVER have to watch commercials EVER AGAIN. Since I didn't have an opinion on what to watch, he only taped what he wanted to see. And he didn't tape Seinfield. But, bless his heart, he would always tape Masterpiece Theater for me.

Then I went back to college during the 90's for 5 years of math and engineering courses (living away from home) and afterward moved to New Jersey for a few years. I was there and Larry was here so I went back to no TV.

When I moved back to FL, it wasn't much better. Not sure if this is male thing, but Lar had Control Issues with the remote. Apparently God had given him the power to FAST FORWARD, so he would use it without asking if I wanted to see the rest of a scene. That was annoying to me. But, to his defense, it was annoying for him to have to explain all the various back stories since I didn't understand anything about what he was watching. So it was simply easier not to watch TV at all.

And it wasn't just Seinfield...I've also never seen Saturday Night Live, Friends, X-Files or Survivor (including any reality spinoff) but I could probably describe all the characters and many of the classic scenes just from talking to friends or reading magazine articles. I do know about "Cheeseburger-Cheeseburger" and "double-dipping" chips. And I've bought Larry the entire first season of SNL and the entire MASH series on DVD, so I guess I'll see them at some point.

But my most consistent source of cultural knowledge comes from reading the cover of National Enquirer at the grocery checkout counter.

PS: I have been converted though. Now we have 4 TVs (2 of us = one per eyeball) to watch DVDs. Plus I truly enjoyed watching The Gilmore Girls (the first few years at least) for the quick-witted writing and was enjoying the quirkiness of Pushing Daisies until the writer's strike took that away.

Fair enough

I was just curious, that's all...

Now that you have 4 tv's, get yourself the Seinfeld collection on DVD, I pormise, you will laugh and laugh!!
