Lucegoosejoanie, I tend to think of my thermal leggings as
long underwear. People usually wear those as a layer under their ski pants, not as leggings. Just bring your regular leggings to use with long sweathers. You can wear your thermal leggings underneath your regular leggings if you get cold smileys/smile.gif
Another tip: the cold air will be dry. Bring a spray balm for your hair, a good facial cream for your face and a cold cream to use on lips, tip of your nose, upper cheecks and earlops when you are in the ski slopes. A cold cream is a cream that contains no water. I use Elisabeth Arden Eight Hour cream. You can buy it in small tubes, and you can use it as a lip balm later, so you won't waste your money buying it.
The most important thing in cold weather is to keep your feet, hands and head warm. Cotton doesn't isolate very well in the cold. I usually use silk, wool or fleece. Fleece is cheap and keeps you warm.
In most places, the indoor temperature will be warm and comfortable. Not shorts and t-shirt warm, but warm enough for wearing jeans and a shirt. Bring a scarf with you just in case. If you keep your neck warm you keep your head warm and it makes all the difference.
I can't wait to hear all about your trip smileys/smile.gif
