I survived my "Caribbean" catering gig, but just barely. With aplogies to Sandra, Joanie, Marg,

OOPS! Sorry Sylvia! I confused you with Sandra. Your jerk marinade was a sensation on beef kebabs.

They disappeared so fast I barely got a chance to taste them.

Not traditional, I know, but delicious.

if you make it and like it, we could put it in T&T---it's so good and I have used prunes too. such

a nice bread for cheese.

Sylvia, I did a test run on chicken legs and thighs and loved it. What cut of pork would you use?

I would like to try it on whole tenderloins.

Thank you, ladies. Marg, people are very appreciative, especially the high school graduates

at this party, who had never seen a spread like this. It's very gratifying. The crepe station was the biggest hit with them.

But in this case there was just too much stuff, and I think it was distracting. Some of the dishes suffered because I threw them together too fast. I put too much oil in the rice, for instance, and I forgot the almonds on the green beans. I'm the only one who noticed these things, but next time I'm going to have to be more realistic. I'm always telling people to simplify their menus and I should follow my own advice.

My crowns are holding fine so far, LOL.
