I write with a truly sad heart that our *charlie* passed away last week.

Karen,

Words can't express how sad we are to learn of Charlie's passing. He will be missed for his kind and gentle nature, wonderful recipes and contributions, his sense of humor, his "B.G." (big grin), and so much more!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I'm an infrequent poster but I feel like I know so many of you through

Eat.at and the old forum, especiallly Charlie. My sincere condolances to his family and also to his brothers & sisters here at the board. He will be missed.

Oh, what a loss for his family and for us. He was always so kind, and so many of his recipes

are in my T&T folder, that my family will also remember him for a long time.

I am saddened to learn about Charlie's passing. He was always a respected voice in the kitchen.

Oh no! I'm so very sorry to hear the news. I always enjoyed Charlie's posts, especially

his New Jersey reminisces, helpful hints, and wonderful recipes.
He will be greatly missed. smileys/frown.gif

My condolences to his family.

OMG! How in creation did I miss this?! I am sick at heart. W/out charlie I wouldn't be able to

consistently make decent caramel. I will sorely miss this excellent chef who was only too happy to go out of his way to explain cooking terms to me and answer my myriad culinary questions.

My condolences to Karen and the rest of Charlie's family during this sad time. Sniff.

Came in to say how very sorry I was to hear of Charlie's passing....

Marsha text me when I was away for the weekend. Thank you, Marsha. Sorry it took me so long to get here.

Charlie was such a sweetheart. His expertise in the kitchen was phenomenal. I don't get here much anymore but I have wonderful memories of my friends here!!! It saddens me so to hear of such things.

Will try to get in more often! I MISS you! smileys/smile.gif
