I’m going to send a package to Pat. If you’d like to contribute to a group gift/donation I will post my PayPal info over at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/eat_at/ (given it’s a closed site). If you’d like to contribute and are not a member, click the request to join button to email me stating who you are (swap name)/it’s about Pat, and I’ll reply with the details. Normally I’d do this all within a PM but we aren’t there yet so please bear with me jumping through a few extra hoops.

Important! If you choose to donate, please post after the fact letting me know because it will have your real names and I’ll get all confused. I want to make sure I include your *Swap Name* on the card so need you to take this additional step given I'm easily distracted by shiny objects.

I'm going to just come right out and admit I have no clue how to do this. What Maria listed below (at the Yahoo site) is an email address, right? So where does the access to paypal come in?

I hardly ever use PayPal, but I know it worked the last time I sent money for Paul, so it was active. But I had a button to push then.

I figured it out! I've never done paid like that before.

So, Maria, you should see something from my full name (you know that) and my work email (you know that too.)

 
A moment about PayPal vs. giftcards....

FYI, I did email Pat yesterday asking if she had a PayPal account because then I could just instantly transfer money to her. I still could do this but then she'd need to go register for a PayPal acct to get it out and at the moment don't want to give her another hoop to jump through. However, so far I haven't heard back...which leads my mind to wander and think she's either slammed with emails or she doesn't have a phone charger.

So unless I hear back from her the plan will be: gift/cash cards. I'm running out now to grab some quick little essentials to add to the box.

 
Is it just me, or my location? Seems like there has been relatively little news coverage. I tend

to watch the news quite a bit, watching all sorts of national / cable / local news. Seems like it did not get alot of attention, or I missed it.

 
I need her address - a friend that lost her house to fire wants to send stuff

She got a lot of stuff that she says she will need immediately and asked me for an address to send it to. Having just lost her house to a fire on new years eve, unemployed for 3 years, and being eight months pregnant with her second child, she went through the ringer and people pulled them through so she really wants to help too.
