Yes, cut the cake in two bite squares and put in a cupcake liner for serving.

It is just hard to beat the Texas sheet cake for flavor. I make it with all butter and it is delicious. ;o)

You can use margarine instead of butter and buttermilk instead of sour cream. I've made the butter/sour cream version and that's how Gayle's is written up.

Not a fancy dessert at all, but very homey. It's also very easy to make and serves a lot! I've been making a version of this since the early 80's.

Made with butter this is sublime. I make it in a 9X13 pan and use buttermilk or soured milk. nt
