WOW - I just looked at the ingredients... 2 TABLESPOONS cinnamon and 2 TEASPOONS nutmeg???!

The apples must just be "filler"!

She also uses 1/2 cup of sugar in her pie crust!

and a whole cup of flour in the filling. seems like a lot, but if it sits around for several days,

I guess you would need lots of thickening for all the liquid you would get from the apples and sugar mascerating.
