Maybe make a dip out of what would normally go "inside" - Rec idea inside

2 pounds beef, very thinly sliced (partially freeze to make slicing much easier)
3 to 4 tablespoons Canola oil
salt and pepper to taste
Cheez Whiz, melted American cheese, or similar process cheese
6 hoagie or sub rolls, cut into cubes

Heat oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions until just tender; remove onions and set aside. Add sliced beef; sprinkle with salt and pepper and sauté quickly to desired doneness, turning several times.

Melt cheese or heat Cheez Whiz in crockpot, and add the above beef mixture. Let kids dip forks or skewers with bread cubes on them and dip, fondue-style.

Makes 6 sandwiches (about 100 cubes?)

Additional ideas to add - sautéed sliced mushrooms, ketchup, steak sauce, barbecue sauce

Thank you for the recipes and ideas!

All the recipes and ideas sound great! I will take them to my group and we will decide which one we're gonna do.

Thanks again, and I'll report back after the assignment is over.
