If anyone has the edition that calls for 2 eggs, with a variation for a Priscilla Cake using 3 eggs and additional sugar, I'd be ever so greatful if you'd share.

LisainLA Not sure if this is what you're looking for this is from the 1896 edition

Boston Favorite Cake
2/3 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs 1 cup milk
3 1/2 cups flour
5 tsp. baking powder
Cream the butter, add sugar gradually, eggs beaten until light, then milk and flour mixed and sifted with baking powder. This recipe makes 2 loaves.

Thank you Gail. This one is different from the one I was seeking, but it is

the one that seems to be all over the internet. The "modern" version uses less of all the ingredients and adds vanilla and salt.

I think one day I will make these side by side and have a taste test.....
