I was wondering if it would (please, oh, please) possible to add a link in T&T area for various ways of eating. Examples: Fat free/low carb, Low fat/Low carb, Weight Watchers, Mediterranean, etc.

I think many of us would really benefit from that. What do you think?

I had thought about that too, also maybe add things like lactose intollerent or low sodium?

Okay, let's see how much interest there is (how many people respond to this) and which programs...

they want. If there's enough interest I have no problem doing it. It's a good idea.

I think it's a great idea! I would love to see some recipes like those. Maybe diabetic too?

I really like the Sonoma way of eating...Mediterranean in style...but

not as strict as some on fats as long as they are GOOD fats. (EVOO, avocado, olives, etc.)

I think there will be a good response as we run into the holidays as it seems everyone is already looking for healthy recipes to get us though. (NOT that I am giving up my candy/goodie making, mind you!) *smile

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mimi!
You the bestest!

Count me in, my good cooking has me a tad "fluffy" these days, plus lactose is an issue.

Although most of the time I use the cheese anyway and take Lactaid but it doesn't really help. Sour cream and whipped cream are much harder to have and I just avoid that. so sad huh - I'm hoping it will go away! It did for my sister, lucky thing, lounging around and eating ice cream and putting SC on her tacos! (sibling jealousy rears its head! LOL)

I would also like to see a link for this. I try to do good carb/good fats (m)

most of the time. Exercise is my "bug-a-boo" Now that the weather is starting to cool off some here in AZ, I am going to try walking more. What do you all do for exercise? At 74yrs. and having COPD it is difficult sometimes for me.

I'm just a kid of 64 with asthma--Sounds like you are on the right track, I'm a walker too

try to do an hour a day and some weight time too, keep those bones strong!
Like you say, "good carb","good fat" great point. I read so much nutritional stuff, I drive my friends crazy. But as my good ol'doc(he would hate that, think he is late 50's) always says, almost every problem we have with our bodies is influenced by, diet, exercise, and genes; and, we can change two of those!!
I think it should be a healthy eating forum??

Keep on walkin' friend,
Nan
