ISO: ISO Richard... You once mentioned that you use a much better version of glaceed fruit. Do you...

Thanks Melissa. I remembered the post too, but couldn't find it. I searched for ...

..."best quality glaceed fruit" and Barry Farms came up.

Thanks again, I appreciate it!

Michael

I ordered glace cherries from nuts.com. Richard's link has slightly better price.

These were perfect, although my first batch I left them whole. That ended up a bit too big for the small mini-fruit cakes I baked.

I ordered more and chopped those up which worked better, but I probably shouldn't have paid for whole cherries in that case.

Michael, what I have been doing is candying my own...

Last month I candied some orange peels and they are sublime.

I do have a source that supplies me with really fresh, JUICY, candied fruit, but I've realized this is too easy.

I'm now making my own.

Thanks for the update. I'm going to have to order candied fruit this year, because I'm...

...already late getting the baking done that needs to rest and develop flavor. If I want candied cherries, I have to do those in the spring/early summer when fresh cherries are ripe and available.
