'Tried it last night! I vote for this to be in the Hall of Fame.
It was a little cold out (imagine, the day before it was 86 here!) and so last night I got the chill out of the house by roasting some slices for 40 minutes, checked them, and let them go another 10-15 minutes.
When they began smelling like apple pie (go figure, it must've been the natural sugar in them), and the steam was no longer coming from the vent, I took them out. Whirled them in the FP when it got cooler, and wow!!! Time-intensive, but it was wonderful. Can't wait to have it with a meal tonight.
The only change I would make is to have 2 sheets of them; because 4-5 tomatoes (a full cookie sheet, with no overlapping) only made about 3/4 to 1 cup of sauce. I was worried about the seeds, but they disappear when you FP them.
(It also made the house smell great!!) Thanks Karen!
