Lat summer some of you posted some at the old Gail's for me but I can't seem to locate them. Or maybe I am losing my mind and picked them up from a thread by somebody else but the one I used was great - think it had a whole orange in it with the peel still attached but 'corkscrew' peeled off of it. Think it also had peaches. I just can't remember and can't find the print out. I've played around but I am just not happy with what I am coming up with. Think I tried the Marthe Stewart one someone had posted and that's not it.

Could it be this one?

Oh wait, here's a white peach sangria...

From: Julie R - WA
Found this today, sounds tasty! smileys/smile.gif

White Peach Sangria

1 bottle white wine (Spanish table wine)
3 ounces brandy
2 ounces triple sec
1 cup orange juice
1 cup pineapple juice
2 ounces simple syrup
3 ounces white peach puree
fresh peaches, oranges, and apples sliced

How to make simple syrup: equal parts sugar
and water brought to a boil for 2 minutes in
a small saucepan and cooled; leftover syrup
can be stored in a tightly sealed container
in the refrigerator for 1 month.

How to make white peach puree: peel peaches,
remove pit and puree in a blender with a
small amount of water.

Place all ingredients in a pitcher and stir
to mix. Refrigerate at least 8 hours or up
to 48 hours. Serve over ice.

..staggering my way through swap sangria recipes...this one doesn't sound too shabby either...

From: marg in pa
Me too, it just goes down so easy....

The white one is killer, and the red ain't so
bad either!

Red Sangria.
1 fifth light dry red wine
1 whole orange
1 ripe peach peeled and sliced
6 slices of lemon
1 1/2 oz cognac
1 oz triple sec
1 oz maraschino
1 tablespooon sugar or more to taste
6 oz. club soda.
Cut entire peel of the orange in a single
strip beginning at the stem and continue till
the sprial reaches the bottom of the fruit.
white part should be cut with the peel so the
fruit is exposed. leave the peel attached to
the orange so the fruit may be suspended in
the pitcher. Pour wine in glass pitcher add
the peach, lemon, cognac, triple sec,
maraschino, and sugar, stir to dissolve
sugar. carefully place orange in pitcher
fastening end of peel over the rim. let
mixture masserate at room temp at least 1
hour, add club soda and a tray of ice cubes.
stir.

White sangria:
1 fifth dry white wine
1 whole orange
2 slices of lemon
2 slices of lime
1 oz cognac
2 tablespooon sugar
1 piece of stick cinnamon
8 large strawberries stems removed and halved
6 oz iced club soda.

Prepare the orange the same way as you would
in the red recipe. pour wine into a glass
pitcher, add the lemon, lime, cognac, sugar,
cinnamon and berries, stir to dissolve sugar,
carefully place the orange in the pitcher
fastening the top end of peel over the rim,
let mixture sit at room temp at least 1 hr,
add soda and ice cubes and stir.

I got these recipes from my old Playboy Bar
book, loads of cool stuff in there.
enjoy

THIS IS IT!!!!!!!!!

Almost positive because the one I used had the orange peeled like this and didn't have any juices in it. I'll let you know after I make a pitcher of them this afternoon.

Here's another great White Sangria from Desertjean at post 1379

White Sangria
2 bottles dry white wine
3/4 cup brandy
1/2 cup triple sec
1/2 cup simple syrup
2 cups orange juice
1/2 cup guave nectar
1 green apple, sliced
1 cup ea. raspberries & blackberries

I like the guava nectar addition in this recipe.

I'm waiting for you all! the Russian River Red salmon are in and White Sangria would go well.

I was going to suggest a "virtual" sangria testing, but my test results would look....

something like this:

I skldfj ith sahn hnsdfdohfsddlkk fvery taasty (hiccup)

(thunk)

Ouch.

Unless someone speaks up to be the designated driver, it might

take us a while to get there, but we're comin'. Hold on to those salmon. ;o)
