It's been a long year so far. But finally getting back to cooking. My first big task is supplying

Have had it with apple jelly in lieu of grape jelly, back in the day when these

jelly and chili sauce meatballs were popular. It's basically a sweet and sour treatment -- there are plenty of Sweet and Sour Meatball recipes on the internet (i.e. using vinegar and sugar) if you want to go that route, Elaine.

Have you considered meatballs in a marinara or pasta sauce?

Sliders? Mini Meatballs? Mini Hotdogs? I have a fun idea... Shoot, can't find it on amazon.

They are plastic toothpicks that you can put sauce in them. I purchased on amazon. Pat suggested them.. I just can't find them, and do not know what they are called.

If we find them on amazon, I would suggest using them for meatballs and a caprise salad w/ proscitto

I make my own peach and/or mango, but there are really easy and quick chutney recipes

like for a pineapple chutney that you can use canned fruits in. Really just mix it up, heat and use.

I think you could use raspberry preserves or such. Fischer and Weissner makes a delicious

raspberry chipotle sauce that is easily "knocked off" with preserves and chipotle which would be great on meatballs. Could even add a skosh of horseradish for a little heat (if you left out the chipotle). B

I had mentioned ham rolls which don't suit but you could make a similar roll using thin pastrami or corned beef and swiss . You can slice a square of rolls (like King's Hawaiian or Pepperidge farm party rolls) horizontally in half. Spread the sides with mustard or even thousand Island dressing. put a layer of pastrami or corned beef (should slice it VERY thin) and a slice of swiss. Put the top on. When ready to serve, run in a hot oven and cut into individual sandwiches.
I know we're missing the rye, but I'll bet they'd be a hit..

How about these buffalo chicken sliders!!
