Jam Exchange Anyone? Are there enough people interested??

How should we structure it? 2 jars per person to exchange? I know we have a some people that can wonderful relishs/condiments so should the exchange include relishs too or be pure jams/jellies/preserves? What if we just make a sign up list, set a closing date, then each person would send 2 jars to the person above them on the list, first person would send to the last person to sign up. No cutting in line!

 
I would like to exchange jams. Where will the list be? Just another

thread on this board? I can make either fruit jam, pepper jelly, some relish, salsa, bbq sauce or dill pickle chunks(the pickles will not be waterbathed, but all of the other items will be processed). Any of them will work for me.

 
I like your idea, barb. My problem is that local fruits are just beginning to come in.

We just picked the first 2 cucs but, aside from greens, nothing in the garden is producing yet.

 
It's like you live on a different PLANET instead of a different state. It's time to

pull up the first planting and replant for fall right now down here-the paper has really been pushing to plant fall tomatoes now. It's been in the 100's for days. It was still eighty-five degrees at five this morning when I got up. I'd love to trade for a little of your weather for a while.

 
NO to fear. Our weather is probably on its way across to you. No wind, low 80s, lotsa sun.

Should last all of one day and then the winds start again.

I must be in a different universe then. although, 53 sounds quite balmy.

we've had lovely upper 70s and sunny during the day and in the 50s at night. we really really like this summer!

 
Should we wait til the end of August when we have all canned up summers bounty?

Or should we go for it now--I think I know what Steve's answer will be LOL!!

 
We could do a monthly one unless that would be too much for everyone.

I would be able to swap that often if anyone else would be interested?
