Jam Exchange Anyone? Are there enough people interested??

Please count me in...It will be fun! (Although I offer no guarantees!) I am having fun 'jammin!

Made Raspberry jam last week, this week onto blackberry and later in the week taking a shot at gooseberry! I am still trying to get the hang of it. They taste wonderful, but the consistency is different with each.
Having fun!
Best,
Barb

Barb, I find that if the planets are not aligned correctly, humidity just so,

and am having a good hair day, the jam may not turn out! There are so many different factors that can affect the final product and I don't know how to take them all into account. So sometimes the consistency is perfect, sometimes a bit stiff and sometimes more like syrup! But, it always tastes good smileys/smile.gif And, the different consistencies force you to be imaginative in ways to use it--ice cream topping, filling for cookies, cakes, bars, mix into yogurt, top pancakes or waffles, smoothies, toss some with beets when roasting, etc....

Years ago I made some rather runny strawberry jam so I used it when making homemade ice cream, stirring in a jar near the end of the churning. My brother, tiring of strawberry ice cream, finally asked me if I knew how to make any flavor other than strawberry!! LOL!!!

Ahem! Steve, I bet you don't know you're posting in the....

Twilight Zone (theme song please!).

Hate to break it to you, but see last post at bottom...
