Finished Creation...no taste test yet, but dang it, I'm a good baker
I call this Honey Cream Cheese Pecan Pie, Watching OU/Missouri game, will post taste test from all guys manana.
Pie Ingredients
3 eggs slightly beaten
1/4 C honey warmed
1/4 C brown sugar packed
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1t vanilla
1 T whiskey
1/2 t salt
1 t ground cinnamon
1 super heaping T of flour
Crunch Topping
1/3 C Brown Sugar
3 T Butter
3 T Honey
1 ½ C Pecan Halves
Notes
Must use a mixer.
Pie
Set oven @ 350 degrees
Beat softened cream cheese, sugar, and honey together.
Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add salt, vanilla, and whiskey. Add flour, mix well.
Pour into pie shell
Sprinkle cinnamon over top of pie.
Put pie in oven, bake it for 40 minutes. Make pecan mixture and set aside.
Take pie out of oven, do not test pie with toothpick or any other device.
because pie will be puffed up.
Let pie sit 10 minutes, in the meantime...
Reheat pecan mixture until
all sugar is dissolved, and pecans are coated well.
Delicately spread pecans and their honey mix evenly over pie.
Return pie to oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
Crunch Topping
Combine sugar, butter, and honey in medium sauce pan until sugar dissolves,
stir constantly for about 2 or 3 minutes. Add pecan halves, and stir until well
coated.
Notes (since this is a new creation)
I forgot to bring cinnamon from one house to another, so I sprinkled 1/2 t of
nutmeg on pie instead
