I dropped both Bon Appetit & Gourmet a while back due to disappointment.
I think almost all the food magazines are dumbing things down so much to gear things to the person who is "too busy to cook". I decided to try Southern Living and it is the same way compared to what it used to be. My newspaper food section is a joke now too. I don't think I've seen a single recipe that included yeast in years. Who do they think is buying all the things at Sur le Table and Williams Sonoma & the spice and baking catalogs and Central Market, etc?....I
