Just want to wish those of you celebrating - a Happy Hanukah tonight.

No, I feel lucky that I just had that wonderful experience with her. I see

her every time I turn my computer on and off and remember her sweetness and beauty.

no the injector is filled with whatever filling. If you go to www.roladin.com you can see pictures..

of some of the donuts - it is in Hebrew but the
pictures are good. I bought mine at another boutique bakery but this one is a good bakery also.

I had a little trouble finding this so maybe this link will help. I assume

it's the correct site? They sure look yummy!

Edited to say that this link is difficult. Click on the center photo and it should go to a page that shows a bit more.

Happy Hanukah! We turned 16 lbs of potatoes into latkes last night...

and every last bite was gone. This is my third year as a "latke fry girl" and these were the best yet! There is a very good chance that I polished off an entire pound all by myself--you know, QCing the batches as they came out of the pans!! My friend and hostess also made 6 briskets, carrots and green beans. (We do a 6AM workout at her house and the briskets were in the crockpots smelling delicious--it was very hard to concentrate on the workout when all you want is a giant plate of brisket!)

I always look forward to this party because she has the kids read aloud the "Story of Hanukah" so that everyone has a little understanding of the ceremony. Then she chooses 4 kids to light a menorah each while we say the prayer in both languages. It is an honor to share in the culture and traditions of your dear friend! How lucky am I!

Did I ever tell you about the first time I hosted our family seder and made 5 large briskets

for 16 people. I didn't have a clue how much meat I needed. Suffice it to say that there was enough for all .....LOL!

Barbara - we are going to neighbors for Christmas

and, as you stated, "It is an honor to share in the culture and traditions of your dear friends"
