What, Steve, no lentils?!

Or maybe that's just a German tradition. We make lentil soup (altho neither of us is German!). 'Just seems like a nice, light meal after a large breakfast (also a tradition for all of our neighbors to stop by another neighbor's for a big breakfast/brunch). It's also a nice warmer-upper on a usually cold winter day.

 
I had some costco lasagna last Friday and it was quite good---needed to be baked a bit longer, but

really quite acceptable to serve to a group.
