Lead in cinnamon?

After using penzey’s, I bought some Kirkland a few years ago as an everyday type thinking I’d save penzey’s for cinnamon forward things. Well, one taste and I tossed it. You get what you pay for. Their vanilla isn’t what it used to be either and I gave it away.

Exactly the same reactions to both, although I don't get Penzey's here. I am finding that spices are becoming a challenge. Good thing I don't cook the way I used to.

I know, especially with the cinnamon, but that's partly because most American cinnamon is cassia. I am addicted to Penzey's Ceylon cinnamon for baking. I am so happy that they opened a store in Orlando, even though it's a bit of a trek. I plan my little sorties down there so that I also go to Freshfield Farms and iFresh, to economize on gas, though my wallet raises its eyebrows at my using the term economize, given what I spend. It's all good quality, well-priced food, though.
